pot & box container gardening service specializes in design, installation, and maintenance of residential and commercial pots & boxes...but we're certainly not limited to our namesakes!

we'll plant anything--hanging moss baskets, raised wooden planters, old pickling pots, repurposed chicken feeders, antique coffee tins…we've even planted a bike basket. whether you've got a shady corner of a patio that could use some color, a hot spot on the back deck perfect for edibles, or a bright window that needs a natural air purifier, we'll get you growing.

our service goal is to provide the knowledge and helpfulness you need to bring color and life to your world.

we'll design new installations of pots and boxes, purchase and transport of all the heavy, messy materials, plant them up, and then return for scheduled maintenance.

we'll plan and plant a chef's herb box for the kitchen window and veggies in terra cotta pots for the patio if you are interested in growing some of your own food. we'll help you repot your houseplants into larger pots to keep them healthy and happy. we'll stop by to water and pluck if you're going out of town. we'll spruce up your existing deck boxes for an upcoming party. we'll stop by weekly to water your houseplants if you want to be sure they're happy. we'll plant your business' storefront with some eye-catching flowers to welcome patrons. we'll even stop over to plant your pots while you are at work, and then leave you a detailed list of what's growing so you can take all the credit...we won't tell if you won't!

when the gardening crew goes shopping for our clients' plants and flowers, pots and boxes, and plant-care products, we think local first. we work with locally-owned nurseries and suppliers to keep our money in our community…and we've met some lovely people doing it. michigan has some great people making cool stuff & growing beautiful plants and we like that. we buy most of our flowers and plants at farmers' markets, enlist skilled people to build things our clients need, and source our natural fertilizers from local and responsible companies. we believe in growing healthy plants that will be naturally pest- and disease-resistant, but if they do need some help, we feature natural and organic products--even mixing up recipes ourselves! best of all, when we work with you, we love to share the tricks we've learned over the years.

at the end of the day, we recycle. all possible materials--including black plastic pots and flats--are recycled. all of our garden clippings are composted. we encourage and assist our clients to do the same.
